Over 100 area businesses from Ashby, Ayer, Townsend, Pepperell, Groton, Dunstable and Tyngsborough have signed on to ‘Stop the Pipeline’. The regional group Stop the Pipeline NED (Northeast Energy Direct) gathered the signatures over 2 days earlier this month.
At an August 13 media event at Pepperell Family Pharmacy, Speakers included pharmacy owner Tracie Ezzio, Claire Miller of Toxics Action Center, Ashby Conservation Commissioner Cathy Kristofferson, NCT VP and Pepperell Conservation Administrator Paula Terrasi, and Rep. Sheila Harrington.
This sign-on is part of an ongoing effort to bring awareness to the proposed Kinder Morgan ‘Northeast Energy Direct’ pipeline project.
Stop the Pipeline NED will also be holding a fundraiser on September 4th to help support those impacted by the proposal. Please visit the Fundraiser page for more information.
